China Railway Construction, China State Construction, and China Railway Group have won the bid for Shenzhen's largest high-speed rail station, with a total contract value of 13.08 billion yuan.

On June 4, the announcement of the winning bid was released for the construction project of the new Shenzhen Xili Station building and related works, tendered by Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway Guangdong Company. The total contract value across four sections amounted to 13.084 billion yuan.

The bidding results are as follows: Section XLSG-6 is awarded to China Railway Urban Construction Group with a contract value of 1.892 billion yuan; Section XLSG-7 to China Construction Fifth Engineering Division with 4.699 billion yuan; Section XLSG-8 to China Railway Construction Group with 4.542 billion yuan; and Section XLSG-9 to China Railway Construction Engineering Group with 1.951 billion yuan.

According to the affiliation of the enterprises to the respective groups, China Railway Construction Corporation took home a total of 6.434 billion yuan, China Construction Corporation 4.699 billion yuan, and China Railway Group 1.951 billion yuan. 

The construction period of the station building and related projects is 31 months, and the planned completion date is December 2028. 

Exceeding the scale of Shenzhen North 

Xili Station is located in the north-central part of Shenzhen's Nan Shan District. The designed scale is 13 platforms and 25 lines, which is 2 more platforms and 5 more lines than the existing Shenzhen North Station. The total area is approximately equivalent to 169 football fields. After its completion, it will replace Shenzhen North Station and become the largest high-speed railway station and rail transit transfer station in Shenzhen. The planned annual passenger volume is 78 million.
